Class Description

The Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician FSRT certification course is an in-depth course that will walk students through all aspects of physical, smoke, and heat damage inspection, restoration, cleaning, and deodorization practices used for contaminated structural materials and contents.

FSRT instructors will use simple explanations and fun learning lessons, exercises, and review to provide the education needed to understand the proper procedures of fire and smoke damage restoration…and pass the IICRC FSRT exam!

This class will include topics such as:

  • Health & safety protocols
  • Fire science
  • Fire & smoke behaviors
  • Damage & residue characteristics
  • Site inspection & assessment
  • Technician & project preparation
  • The proper use of containment & air filtration devices
  • Tools & equipment
  • Cleaning & deodorization chemicals
  • Restoration & deodorization practices
  • Client communications

The RC guarantee – pass the exam or take a FSRT class for free! This class structure will include all the necessary study guides, workbooks, exam preparation tools and reviews so you feel confident to take the IICRC FSRT certification exam and pass…the first time!

The IICRC certification exam is an optional exam offered by IICRC. This class will prepare students to challenge the IICRC FSRT certification exam. To register for the IICRC FSRT exam you must visit www.IICRC.org and create an account. The FSRT certification exam fee is $80.00.
