Class Description

The Essential Skills Fire Restoration course will prepare new workers with the essential skills needed to properly perform basic work functions on fire and smoke damaged environments.

ASP instructors will use simple explanations and fun learning lessons, reviews, and study materials to provide the education needed to pass the IICRC ASPFR Award of Achievement exam the first time!

Topics will include the basics of:

  • Health & safety
  • Fire damage hazards
  • Smoke residue characteristics
  • Project progression
  • Tools & equipment
  • Cleaning practices & chemicals
  • Deodorization methods

This course qualifies for Continuing Education Credits, allowing participants to earn 4 credits upon successful completion.
