Applied Microbial Remediation Technician Course
The IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) course covers mold and sewage remediation techniques to individuals engaged in property management, property restoration, IEQ (Indoor Environmental Quality) investigations or other related professions. Course graduates will be adequately equipped to perform remediation services while protecting the health and safety of workers and occupants.
AMRT instructors will use simple explanations and fun hands-on learning lessons, exercises, and review to provide the education needed to understand the proper procedures microbial remediation…and pass the IICRC AMRT exam!
This class will include topics such as:
- Laws, regulations, & guidelines
- Health & safety protocols
- Hazard assessment
- PPE &engineering controls
- Site inspection & assessment
- Technician & project preparation
- The proper set-up and use of containment & AFD’s
- Cleaning chemicals & antimicrobials
- Tools & equipment
The IICRC certification exam is an optional exam offered by IICRC. This class will prepare students to challenge the IICRC AMRT certification exam. To register for the IICRC exam you must visit www.IICRC.org and create an account. The AMRT certification exam fee is $150.00.Â
