Bloodborne pathogens training, often referred to as BBP safety training, is geared for cleaning and restoration technicians that might have a reasonably anticipated contact with blood, body fluids, or other potentially infectious materials from humans, animals, avians, and insects while on the job. This short 2-hour course discusses potentially infectious microorganisms found in blood and body fluids, preventative measures and exposure control plans. As per federal regulation, employers must offer this training on initial employment, annually thereafter, and when new or modified tasks or procedures affect a worker’s occupational exposure.
